Thereupon at this moment, from the top of the roof, Mr Mortar did come falling onto Mr Monkey.
“What do you think of this, damn wicked Monkey! Excuse yourself to Mr Crab!”
“I am sorry, I am sorry! I will never again bully you!”
Mr Monkey, crying, did present his excuses to Mr Crab.
Since that moment, Mr Crab, Mr Monkey, mr Mortar, Mr Chestnut and Miss Bee are all living in good terms.
But, the burnt face of Mr Monkey and his bottom which was stung by Miss Bee are, even now, still painful.
— The End —
You made it! You read your first story in Japanese. It may have seem long but I hope this helped you to better understand how Japanese sentences are built. This requires some training, but after some practive it quickly becomes natural.
You can now try reading more short stories from the net such as from www.e-hon.jp or many other such sites which offer easy to read short stories.
An important tool to have with you is a dictionary! Personnaly I do use http://jisho.org/ (there is also an app for it) which is one of the best references on the web at the moment.
I will also propose more rading material in the future, so stay tuned!
Have a nice day and be patient and persistent in learning Japanese.
メリークリスマス / Merry Christmas!
And may the Force be with you!
Stéphane ^^
