Short Japanese sentences

In this lesson you will learn short sentences in Japanese that you can use in everyday situations.


Asking and saying your name:

おなまえ は なん です か。

[o-namae wa nan desu ka.]
/name/(topic)/what/to be/(question)/
What is your name?

なまえ は たなか です。

[namae wa tanaka desu.]
/name/(topic)/Tanaka/to be/
My name is tanaka.

Tomorrow, I will go to …:

あした、うみ へ いきます。

[ashita, umi e ikimasu.]
/tomorrow/seaside/(direction)/(will) go/
Tomorrow, I will go to the seaside.
